Show Notes

  • Lucifer's Mill was a small live music venue in Dundee. Oasis played there on 5 April 1994 during their first headline tour, with 18 Wheeler appearing as special guests. A surviving letter dated 21 March 1994 confirms that 18 Wheeler were paid £100 plus VAT and were to be advertised as 'very special guests', receiving at least 80% billing where possible. Their hospitality rider called for 24 beers, soft drinks and a simple meal, with a 4pm get-in, 6pm soundcheck and a 9:30pm stage time. Only 17 advance tickets were reportedly sold and around 74 people attended the show. A new stage was still being completed when Oasis arrived and Liam reportedly tested it by jumping up and down while chanting 'Noel's going under tonight!'. After the show, the band were interviewed backstage with Noel doing most of the talking.
