- The Joiners is housed in a mid-19th-century purpose-built pub at 141 St Mary's Street, formerly known as the Joiner's Arms. Live music has been staged in the back room since 1968 and the venue went on to become an important stop for emerging bands. With a capacity of around 200 people, The Joiners is known for its intimate atmosphere. In 2013 it was named 'Britain's Best Small Venue' in an NME competition.
