Oasis made one of their earliest appearances in continental Europe at L'Erotika in Paris, performing at a concert organised by the French music magazine Les Inrockuptibles. Just one week earlier, Blur had played at the same intimate venue.
The club occupied the former Les Trois Baudets cabaret, established by Jacques Canetti in 1947 and associated with French performers including Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens and Serge Gainsbourg. The venue reopened under its original name in 2009.
Footage from the concert was first broadcast on the French television programme Rock Express on September 25, 1994. Further footage from the M6 archives surfaced online in 2017, including excerpts from seven songs.
