- The Charlotte at 8 Oxford Street was originally known as the Princess Charlotte and developed into one of Leicester's best-known small live music venues during the late 1980s and 1990s. The club became an important stop for emerging artists hosting bands including Blur, Radiohead, Oasis, Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Kasabian early in their careers. Oasis played here on 6 May 1994, with doors opening at 8pm and tickets priced at £4 or £3 for concessions. Noel later reportedly described the Leicester show as his second favourite gig of his career, while the band were said to have received just £50 for the performance.
