Show Notes

  • During "Bring It On Down" a fan jumped on stage and punched Noel Gallagher in the face. Noel fought back with Liam joining in and the gig was abandoned.
  • BBC Radio 1 had planned to record the concert for broadcast. Instead, a 30-minute special featuring interviews with the band and Jo Whiley's account of the incident was broadcast on August 10, 1994. No complete live songs were included.
  • The guitar Noel was playing which had previously belonged to Pete Townshend and was loaned to him by Johnny Marr, was badly damaged during the incident.
  • According to available setlists the show opened with "Listen Up", possibly marking the song's live debut. In the Radio 1 special broadcast the following day, Noel mentioned plans to add "Listen Up" and "Slide Away" to the setlist. However, no recording of this gig is currently known, so it remains unclear whether "Listen Up" was actually played.
