- Liam missed Oasis' acoustic performance at the Royal Albert Hall on June 4, 1994, citing a sore throat. According to some accounts, he was still upset about stage divers at the previous night's show at The Island.
- The Island opened in November 1992 in a former Art Deco cinema dating back to 1937. Originally known as the Regal Cinema and later the ABC the building had also served as a bingo hall before becoming a live music venue. The club closed by 2001, and the building was subsequently converted into a banqueting venue.
