According to Brian Cannon and others, this was Noel Gallagher's first gig with Oasis. Cannon later became closely associated with the band through his design and art direction work.
Several bootlegs circulate from this recording, including "The Untold Story", "The Early Years" and "The Lost Tapes". Some versions omit "Columbia (excerpt)" and "Poetic Feedback", while others merge the short feedback section into the following track.
The same recording has also been traded as the 5 May 1992 Club 57 show in Oldham, but that attribution is very doubtful.
A 2004 CD transfer known as "The Boardwalk 1992" came from an original 1992 demo tape and is believed to have been recorded from the soundboard.
An original cassette later appeared on eBay with an inlay dating the recording to 14 January 1992 and describing it as the first live recording of Oasis featuring Noel Gallagher.
